Electric Company completes the Hilton Garden Inn

Electric Company of Greater Des Moines recently completed construction of the new Hilton Garden Inn in West Des Moines. Located at 205 S. 64th Street the 131 room hotel is near the popular Jordon Creek Town Center and the newly completed Wells Fargo Campus. The hotel features a conference center, meeting rooms, an indoor pool, and full service restaurant.
At 88,000 square feet it also happens to be one of the largest Hilton Garden Inns of the more than 70 that general contractor and co-owner PRO*Built of Sioux Falls, SD has constructed, reports PRO*Built’s Project Manager Steve Schneider. Schneider was happy to report that the project was completed one month ahead of schedule. PRO*Built selected Electric Company to provide more than just the electrical. They also provided the wiring for the security, CCTV, fire alarm, HVAC and communications systems.
When Electric Company Project Manager Tim Gerald needed a distributor partner he could depend on, he called 3E’s Charlie Miller. “Charlie worked to get us competitive pricing on everything on the project. Charlie came back with a package that allowed us to purchase everything from 3E. It allowed us to save time and money by sourcing everything from one distributor”, said Gerald. “It made my job easier getting everything from one place. The project had an aggressive schedule, but we finished we managed to finish ahead of schedule”, said Project Forman Joe Porepp.
The material for the job included a Square D 3000 amp service, 37 panel boards, Spaulding site lighting and everything in between. Much of the miscellaneous material was supplied right from 3E’s stock.
