Three Dynamometers up to 300 horsepower are available for a variety of motors and generators.

Surge, Hipot & Megger Testing of Windings

The technology of testing windings has dramatically improved in recent years. 3E has proven test procedures for three phase and DC motors, transformers and other apparatus. Windings can be dialectically tested over potential too. This service is available both in-shop and in the field.

Core Loss Testing

When considering rewinding of an AC stator or rotor, iron core testing is needed to insure a particular motor is a good candidate for repair. The iron core is the heart of the electric motor and must be in good shape to retain original efficiency. This instrument excites and meters the iron core to determine core condition while at the same time testing the insulation between the laminations.

Rotor Bar Testing

Rotors are tested using several methods to insure the integrity of the circuit.

Ultra Sonic Flaw Testing

Ultra Sonic testing is used to confirm the integrity of shaft material to insure a quality repair.
