Three-phase motors are the work-horse of industry. 3E specializes in the repair of all types of squirrel cage motors as well as:

Today more emphasis is placed on efficiency and precise mechanical tolerances. Close examination is needed to insure that the original efficiency and mechanical tolerances will be trained.

3E uses quality materials and replacement parts to insure a quality repair. Mechanical parts are closely examined and measured in our machine shop. In-house dynamic balancing of rotors is also provided to assure excellent vibration readings.

Rewinding of motors and generators includes high temperature inverter grade copper wire, a wide variety of insulation and specialized resins matched to the customer's environment. Winding data is verified with engineering programs and compared to EASA records. Iron cores are tested and repaired to insure original efficiency. Vacuum pressure impregnation with epoxy resin completes the rewinding process.

3E's industrial sales staff can assist in supplying your company with a new motor when repairing an existing motor is not cost effective.

Transformer and Coil Rewinding Department

3E specializes in the repair and rewinding of transformers, line reactors and various coils including brake, contactor and solenoid coils. In most instances it is more cost efficient to replace common solenoids and control and distribution transformers rather than repair or rewind them. If a customer has an obsolete or unique apparatus that is not replaceable we will gladly repair or rewind it.

Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) is available for coil and transformer rewinding. This system impregnates coils with a solvent-free epoxy resin that improves the dielectric insulation values. Heat is better transferred with improved dielectric insulation resulting in extended operation life. Specialty coil rewinding is also an available service. 3E's large inventory of magnet wire and insulation make virtually any rewinding a routing operation.
