Electrical Engineering & Equipment Company, 3E, is an independent electrical distributor, steel fabricator, generator sales, service and rental center and an electrical apparatus repair shop. This diversification has led 3E to become one of the leading electrical distributors in the Midwest.

Headquartered in Des Moines, 3E now has five electrical distribution centers throughout Iowa and a manufacturing/electrical apparatus repair division. We are excited to be expanding to the Sioux City area with our fifth electrical distribution center.  We currently have more than 250 employees whose training and dedication have helped bring 3E to the forefront in the industry.

3E’s primary customers include electrical contractors, industrial plants, commercial organizations and utility companies. Our inventory is stocked with the products of leading manufacturers in the electrical industry including Square D, Siemens, Lithonia Lighting, Ferraz Shawmut, Cooper Lighting, Pass & Seymour/Legrand and many more.

3E's Electrical Distribution division has become a leader in the electrical industry by serving electrical contractors, commercial and industrial companies and government agencies throughout Iowa and western Illinois. 3E's specialized departments are staffed with experienced personnel trained to assist our customers.

We are expanding to Cedar Rapdis and have immediate opening for Inside Automation Sales. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·        Inside sales and support of automation products such as PLCs, VFDs, Sensors, Industrial Network Components, Safety Products, etc.
·        Find products that match customers requirements and apply those products correctly,
·        Provide technical support on products sold,
·        Be a product champion on several automation product lines,
·        Enter customer orders into the data base
·        Contact company suppliers for price, delivery, and technical product information as needed,
·        Follow up on orders to ensure delivery in agreed upon time frame,
·        Act in a support role for Outside Automation Sales force,
·        Act as an interface with customer and supplier in the resolution of questions and concerns regarding product or service,
·        Prepare price quotes as requested by either outside sales, or customers,
·        Maintain a positive attitude and an organized work environment. Education and/or Experience required:
·        High school diploma or equivalent,
·        Basic mathematic skills,
·        Good organizational and communication skills,
·        The ability to operate and understand basic Microsoft programs such as Excel & Word, ·        Must have good understanding of electrical and industrial material.
·        Two years electrical sales experience and a college degree a plus
