3E’s Generator Division

3E’s Generator Division saw many changes in 2007

In May, Russ Stokes was promoted to Director of Commercial Sales at our Windsor Heights location, leaving his position as Generator Division Manager. Todd Zwanziger, an 11-year sales veteran, stepped in to fill this important roll.

One of the most exciting changes occurred in September when the Kohler Company awarded 3E the exclusive Nebraska and South Dakota territories for their Kohler Power Systems division. This is in addition to our Iowa and western Illinois territories.


The Kohler Company’s confidence in 3E is very much appreciated, but being awarded new territory is only the beginning. Now comes the real work of putting together a first class team of expert sales associates and trained service technicians. We’re happy to report we are well on our way to accomplishing this goal.

The New Service Team
The first to join the 3E service team was Kohler-certified technician, Brett Robinson. Brett will be working out of the Sioux City branch and will be responsible for NW Iowa, SE South Dakota and NE Nebraska. Jason Krcil of Sturgis, South Dakota and Ryan Neugebauer of Armour, South Dakota joined the 3E team in December. Jason is a Kohler-certified technician and will cover the western half of South Dakota. Ryan will cover the eastern half of South Dakota. In Nebraska we have partnered with Pruitt Inc. on the service side. Based in Omaha, Pruitt has been a 3E dealer for over 20 years, as well as a Kohler engine dealer and a distributor for Hustler Mowers.

The New Sales Team
Outside sales representative Chad Johnson of Sioux Falls will be responsible for promoting all Kohler Power Systems products including mobile, marine, residential, rental, and industrial for the western half of South Dakota. The Nebraska sales team consists of Larry Wagner and Mark McCarville, both from Omaha. Larry and Mark will focus their efforts on the engineering community and the electrical contractors. In the rental department, we’ve teamed up with the Kohler Rental Division out of Chicago. 3E will now serve as a Kohler Rental depot. Currently we have (2) 20KW’s, (3) 50KW’s, (2) 100KW’s, (2) 180KW’s, and (1) 200KW. Typically rentals units are available up to 2000KW within 24 hours.

These are indeed exciting times in the 3E Generator Division. We’re looking forward to sharing the combination of quality Kohler products and 3E’s service, expertise, and commitment to excellence with an entirely new market.
